Learn How To Play The Single Ratamacue Drum Rudiment!

The single ratamacue is a drum rudiment based off of the triplet form with a little drag in front of it. So you would start right hand drag, left tap, right tap, left tap, left hand drag, right tap, left tap, right tap. Be sure to alternate lead hands as you go.

After a rudiment review on the snare, exercises 1 and 2 provide a couple examples of the rudiment by itself before exercises 3 and 4 add a lead in drum beat and use the rudiment as a fill. Those last two examples can be rather complicated, so take your time and play them slowly. You can also watch the video to see me play them in slow motion.

Learn how to play advanced accent fill exercises in the next video drum lesson.
