Rock Drum Play-Along With Downloadable MP3!
This play-a-long features Jason Kliewer, playing the song "Set It Off" by his band, Hasting. This is another great opportunity to learn a real world song that you may have heard before, and watch the actual drummer for the song at work.
The intro starts with a 16th note bass drum beat. As the verse begins, the snare is added to the beat. The chorus uses the same bass/snare pattern throughout the song, but alternates between an open hi-hat pattern and a crash cymbal pattern. Near the beginning of the song, the focus is more on the open hi-hat. By the end of the song, the chorus alternates between the hi-hat and the cymbal every two bars. When the bridge starts, it is mainly just a little bit of cymbal flavor. After a bit, the pattern shown in the sheet music is introduced.
