Learn How To Play The Flam Tap On The Drum Set!
Now we are going to look at the flam tap. Basically it is what it sounds like, a flam followed by a tap stroke. Left hand flam, left hand tap, right hand flam, right hand tap. Don't be in a rush to get this right, if you hurry you will only hinder your progress. You will get the rudiment down faster if you start off slowly and take your time. Remember, a fine wine takes time to make.
Like previous rudiment lessons, examples 1 and 2 give you some practice time alone with the rudiment before examples 3 and 4 add in a drum beat leading in to the rudiment.
