Now we come to the double paradiddle. Like all of the other paradiddles that we have done up to this point the 'diddle' part shows us where the double comes in. In the case of this rudiment we play four singles followed by one double: dou-ble pa-ra diddle. Remember to alternate which hand you start with to keep the beat flowing nicely.
Examples 1 and 2 give you some practice time alone with the rudiment before examples 3 and 4 add in a drum beat leading in to the rudiment.
