HI Stevenk asked for opnions not facts so by asking asking me and others will obvoiuysly answer his question .Hes not asking how much does this cost. Its called a forum .Solo practice u upset yourself if you dont learn something. In a band situation you are learning i.e a song so the rest of the band can put there part to make the song live complete. So after 2 months you want the hassle of a band( its not all roses) and be pushed at a pace your not comfortable at then you go for it.You may be the next Buddy Rich that didnt take lessons only practiced whilst playing but time will tell on this .The ulimate question is do you want peeps to give an opinion or tell u what you want to hear?

Hi there my opinion regards playing in a band is this.No such thing as how much practice u do its what you learn.Everybody learns at different speeds i.e it might take u a week to learn a certain song it might take me 2 weeks.Drummers job in band is to keep time not relying on other members to do this or correct drummer he should know when he or she is too fast or slow also whether fill is simple or complicated should and must be able to come back into beat in correct Bpm.Drummer is the time keeper in the band .
