If one were to actually have two snare drums in their kit, where would the second snare be placed?....next to the existing snare?....or to the right, next to the floor tom?

Hey all,

My son who also plays drums, recently had his gear involved in a fire, the building a few doors down was where the fire originated from the studio where his gear was being used. That said, his shells are made of maple and it appears that the bass drum has sat in water at about 6 inches deep due to the sprinkler system activation, not sure how long it sat in the water, but I'm wondering if there's anything we can do to save the bass shell or if its even at all savable...

Hey all,

After about 3 months of lessons (which will continue) I find myself learning the differences for example in the way that the cymbals and snare sound, meaning learning the differences between a good and bad sound. That said, has anyone heard or played the Ludwig Black Magic snare?...I'm thinking about buying one...

Hey all,

Quick question about measuring drum sizes, is there some sort of "formula" for measuring the depth of a snare or tom WITHOUT removing the hoops?....maybe measure from top to bottom and subtract hoop thickness?
