Exactly as "Anonymous" said...if you're right handed, then it will dominate until you get used to using your left....always does

    Video

    Hey Everybody!

I'm trying to work on my fingers but am having a lot of trouble with my left hand. I've attached a video so you can see.
(The video is backwards. When I say "right hand", it looks like my left. When I say "left hand" it looks like my right. And the sound is off with the video. I'm not sure why  ) My right hand feels pretty good, although my pinky does look a little weird in the video. My left hand doesn't feel smooth at all and also, watching to video, I'm holding my stick weird. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have bad technique? Or do I just need to get used to it? What are some tips that may help me out?

Thank you guys so much and God Bless!!

Love it when a thread like this that I have'nt seen pops up again

I'm relativly new to drumming but already picked up a few pet peeves....

    1) - If you visit my house do not think it is acceptable to sit behind my kit and faff about with it, punishment for this varies from a nasty glare to a full on shouting and stropping fit.

    2) - If you visit my house do not think it is acceptable to let your kids sit behind my kit, its not a toy, if your kid wants to bang something i've got some spare sticks and a few pots and pans to get them started, this one will bring a varied response but usually aimed at my poor missus after said child/parent has left, I mean I wouldnt really shout at a child im not a monster or anything ;)

    3) - If you are an experienced drummer or musician of any ilk please feel free to pass comment on my timing/technique etc as I will genuinly take this onboard and assess your input, if however you are not an experienced drummer or musician and the best you do is a saturaday night karaoke slot then by all means pass your comments and I will genuinly poke you in the eye.

    4) - If I visit your music shop and display my obvious inexperience please do not look down your nose at me, you are payed to serve me after all, all I want is an honest answer and maybe a nudge in the right direction after all we all started out as newbies at some point.

Phew, a relief getting some of them off my chest lol

    LMAO.....WELL SAID :)

Not sure if this would apply to you or not, but I started using the Firth X5A grips....work pretty well for me!
  5. In Topic: Easiest song on drums to learn

Audioslave "Like a Stone" or CCR "Change in the weather"...both great songs and fairly simple
