This is similar to the other topic, except which of these drumming related activities do you do while not drumming on a kit or practice pad?

I don't know if this is considered practicing on a practice pad, but when I'm in any type of public transportation (except buses), I use the inside of a hard cover notebook as a pad and work on brush patterns. I also do it when I'm on any waiting line. I just sit down pull out the notebook and start swishing away.

I get funny looks, and some coins are thrown at me...but who cares?! <_<

Thumb the steering wheel. My mom always did that and I'm sure that's where some of my drumming addiction came from.

I thought it would be a cool invention to come up with a steering wheel accessory that would basically be buttons that trigger drum sounds through your car stereo while the radio plays. I figured that since they outlawed the bolt on knob for one hand turning, the snap-on drum set wouldn't fly either.

Everything but steering wheel and open beat box.

I do lots of other things that arent drum related, like paint miniatures and play tabletop and roleplaying games, and also the occasional computer/xbox.

I've realized that I must be a pain in the behind when doing non-drumming, drumming related things, always sending videos of drummers to people who don't know why it's cool and always drumming on things and doing air drums when listening to music.

I'm constantly thumping away on my steering wheel and desk. I also am always moving my feet working on my heel/toe technique or just going with a beat to the radio or one that's in my head.

Gah! air-drumming... that definitely should have been on the poll, wish I'd thought of that!

During boring lectures, I place my hands in my bag then tap-drum..
put on my ear phone and listen to songs paying attention to the lyrics if not the drums.
ENJOY LIFE'S MUSIC
I will ALWAYS play the drums for YOU!!!

I can't take out the beat-box one! It's one of my favorites! (probably because I'm one that secretly does it). Besides, renaming it to "air-drumming" would yield false data, as those who marked for beat-boxing don't necessarily air drum. Appending air drumming now would also yield false data because people only have 1 chance to vote.

Valid point. The "other" option is there for a reason

I certainly wish I had thought of air drumming when I made the poll though, it is a great one.

While I'm not drumming I usually visit this website. Other times, I use pencils or objects that are like drumsticks and pretend to drum. Yet other times I quietly beat-box.

I've started practicing my vocals at work. I do maintenance in a gas station/truck stop, so I work alone a lot.
