Tyler George: I'm 19.. I've been playing drums off and on for about ten years.

Gear: I'm in the middle of rebuilding a full kit.
PDP LX four piece (Used)
Ddrum Dominion Ash snare
22" Sabian AA Metal-X Ride (Used)
18" Zildjian Oriental China (Used)
16" Paiste Alpha Medium Crash
6" Zil-Bel (Used)
10" Paiste Twenty Series Mini-china (Used)
Iron Cobra double bass pedals (Used)

I guess I'll just post up pictures of my new ride/setup. No videos for now.

Just picked up this Sabian AA Metal-X 22inch Ride used from Music Go Round for $150 (or so). Still in excellent condition.

I didn't have money for a new stand so I had to use these really short, free cymbal arms to mount my china. Ghettoooo.

Oh, and that notebook on my bass is where I keep ideas tabbed out and such. I have some pretty sweet stuff layed out. I'll try and get a video sometime soon.

Enjoy for now!

EDIT! VIDEO!!

Yeah. I don't get to play nearly as often as I would like. I have have gotten to a lot lately. As for playing without hats... Eh, I don't need them. I can get some A Custom Mastersound hats for like $150 if I wanted them.. But I just don't need 'em.

If you listen to a band called Heal These Wounds (Amazing hardcore-ish band) their drummer uses basically the same setup I have. I'm looking to add more crashes and another, smaller china and a few splashes though.

It's okay, great for $150. You see, I ordered the same AMX snare... But they sent me the Ash one instead. I didn't feel like dealing with returns and such. The Gorilla tape helps, as does the Hazy 300 on the snare side and the whatever Remo head on I to put on the batter side. Haha. And I bought some Moongel tonight.

All I can say is that I truly miss my custom Phattie hybrid snare. :D

I'll get a video up as soon as possible. The video would be good quality, the audio... Not so much.

This is true. If you look at most of The Who videos, there is no high hat.
He also had two bass drums but generally played only one.

I ended up trading it in at Music Go Round (Stupidly) along with my Gibraltar Intruder pedals.

I doubt I'll do the hoops.. I'll probably just buy some new ones or something. They turned out basically exactly how I wanted them too.. Uneven, almost rustic looking.

Thanks.

Okay, the splash was backorder FOREVER.. So I exchanged my purchase for a used Paiste Twenty Series 10" mini china on MF.. Of course they never told me it had a small china missing from the edge. But, I tried it out and it still sounds really good. I just put some tape over the small chunk.

My current set-up:
