I wish that you could explain the difference in fusion drums and other drums. I see sets with the different sizes but not sure exactly what they mean

Please consider making video lessons of different levals for how to play hand drums, more spesifically bongo's.
I no longer have room to have my basic rock drum set set up so i got myself a set of bongos. that way i could still continue to drum.
Thanks,
Heather

I think gospel chops are a whole world to explore. It doesn't have to start at the level of Eric Moore or Thomas Pridgen, but the basics at least.
My name is Joey.

Could you do lessons to some drum covers? Also, cover/lesson "Say It Aint So"? It would help be out sooo much.

A lesson on making drum covers would be great. Especially removing drum tracks.

Short lesson: It can't be done effectively unless you have the original multi-track recording, or it is a MIDI file.

Hi

I think you should do a lesson on setting up a kit and where to put all the cymbals etc....

Thanks Gavin...

OK JARED I NEED YOU TO LISTEN TO ME HERE... HECK, IM GOING TO POST THIS AS MY OWN TOPIC. i know you haven't done alot of live lessons, but i would love to see one in collaboration with drum instructor Mike Johnston. Mike Johnston is a drum instructor from Sacramento. He is my favorite online instructor and with good reason. He's excellent at Linear Beats, Funk, Improv, and pretty much anything else you can think of. I recommend you go see his channel on Youtube or his website MIKESLESSONS.COM

He does alot of free clinics in the California area so he wouldn't mind doing a free clinic online, i guess :P. SInce he lives in North-Centrral Cali. I'm sure that traveling to Vancouver (i think thats where you guys are located) wouldnt be as hard as traveling from South Africa, like you did with Cobus. He has a really large drum community and it could be of great benefit if he promotes you guys with his lesson. Please check on it. I promise you guys will be JAW DROPPED when you see his INCREDIBLE ABILITY on the drums and his ability to easily explain stuff. I believe Cobus once gave him props for an online lesson once on facebook... PLEASE TRY......

No need to yell.

I'm sure Jared is very familiar with Mike's stuff as are most of the rest of us. I like what little I've seen of Mike's lessons, as well.
I think the big question is, how do you envision a joint effort between the two? What are the goals and advantages for everyone involved (things that cannot be accomplished with separate instructors and lessons)? I thought Mike charges for his lessons. I wonder if he wants to do some for free? It would be nice.

Yeah, he charges on his website, but he's always announcing free drum clinics all over California. He uploads Drum Lesson vids on Youtube so I'm sure he will be just fine with a free online drum lesson. I believe theres no need to get to complicated on it, get in, make a lesson, get out. It's good for drummers to find out about other resources they could find on the web and it would effectivel work (if Mike and The FDL Team choose on it) to promote each other, although maybe alot of drummers do know about both. If it could be done with CObus, I'm sure strings could be pulled or Mike. And sorry for screaming XD, I just get excited... haha.... I mean the idea of them working on a collab just ets me all worked up :#, and plues, I meant the screaming on the "hear me out" kinda way and not the "i'm ticked!" kinda way.... LOL..... well yeah... Peace dude.

I would personally like to see some lessons and takes on a "Rally" at the end of a song. In more detail a finishing routine where everyone is shreading on their instruments and your hyping up the crowd while ending a song. Is it more of a "do what ever you want" idea or are there some paterns and such on climaxing a song, as weird as that sounds lol?

It would be so damn helpful if you made beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons on all sorts of different styles like Jazz, Samba, Cha Cha, Hip-Hop, Rap and so on, becouse I personally think that the most creative drummers in the world can play all styles. And to be honest Jazz and all Latin styles is really hard to learn with some crappy expertvillage so called teachers teaching it, dude you're the beast, the real thing.

I'd like to see a lesson on using the triple paradiddle around the kit. I've seen numerous well done lessons on the single paradiddle by Jared around the kit that have been invaluable to my own progress. Mike Michalkow has a couple of good videos on utilizing the double paradiddle, but I have yet to see a single good lesson anywhere on playing the triple paradiddle around the kit. I'm starting to think this isn't a very useful rudiment, but more of just an exercise.

I would LOVE lessons in Big Band drumming. Time signatures, grooves, speed building tips...
Cat's Foot; Iron Claw; Neurosurgeons scream for more; innocence @#$%^ with napalm fire; everything I want I really need.

PLEASE do some lessons on well known specific reggae drumming beats. I love trying to incorporate odd time beats into my drumming, and I've seen sum people play reggae drumming, and it looks pretty fun, yet straightforward and easy.
Favorite Made-Up Quote: You can say something a thousand times, but that doesn't mean it's written in stone.
The Lesson: Don't believe everything you hear from somebody, especially when their conduct disproves it.
