Drumming is insanely good for you. Rock drumming gets your heart rate above that of an American Football player. It's also, as the article says, a great way to kick habits. You can lose yourself behind a drumset and usually the "you" that you find when you're done is much different than the "you" before you started.
For every fifty words I type, I have to correct twelve typos. I corrected thirteen typing this.

I don't actually have the set or cymbals that I want. I just put my favorites.
I'm now officially a drum teacher and music guru!!

You guys are a bunch of enablers  ..........yet one more argument for me to eventually get the kit of my dreams! :D

Seriously, I've often wondered about this. Now that I'm seriously into the "middle aged" category I find that my most enjoyable/relaxing moments are listening to music, both old and new. The desire to return to drumming (despite my age) seems to be a natural extension of the concept of music being therapeutic.

Drumming helps relieve my anger when im really mad. some say when your mad just hit something repeatedly without hurting yourself. so the way i figure it why not hit things and make music at the same time.

LOL they forgot to mention the endless shots, not getting but 2 hours of sleep after a show and having to get up and go to work. Oh yeah, and the drunken bafoons you get to deal with and the cloud of cigarette smoke.

I love it! Muhahaha!

There was another article someone posted about some of the injuries drummers have are exploding hearts and collapsed lungs. So if you don't die drumming is great! I don't think I'd like to see someones heart explode or lung collapse, but I just want to know how they did it. Must have been one of those Metal drummers!
