Ha! Jared gravity blasting would be a sight!

I remember you blasted for a split second in that drum solo video shot in a German festival.

Is gravity blasting a different thing to the one handed roll?
I can do neither at the moment btw :)

The gravity blast is an implementation of the one handed roll. It goes a little something like this:
C|x-x-x-x-
S|xxxxxxxx
B|xxxxxxxx

(those being 16th notes)

I meant the post as joke mostly, as the gravity blast is a death metal thing. However, i still think it would be absolutely hilarious to see Jared blasting, though i'm not entirely sure why the idea amuses me so.

I saw a youtube tutorial by spikeydrummer that I think mentioned gravity blasting and he showed the one handed roll technique, I guess I didn't watch the whole thing :)

I agree, it would be hilarious to see me blasting...I don't really have that metal head look. :)

I only found this about the One Handed Roll on the its site:

You can no longer purchase the One Handed
Roll DVD, however, you can get it for free
for a limited time with your purchase of
Mike Michalkow's Drumming System!

Hope this helps in some way...

Hi Jared ...Im a big fan and recieved quite a few of your free lessons on my email...I brought your rock drumming dvd/cd set and having vast improvements...how ever, I called customer service to find out how to the get the music sheet for the one handed drum roll, cause it wont show up from the dvd on the computer itself and the web it directs me too has no mention of it, I was sent a email but the message said paint cannot open it! Im trying your free DVD of the one hand drum roll and need the sheets you talk about...also im stuck getting that ability to do the one hand drum roll but I will keep trying...If you can help out, I appreciate it...the Customer Service rep is going to mention to you that I called and spoke well about your system....Thank you for reading and doing an awesome job of helping others with your time!
