"Pampers" are pretty popular here in the Us :)

I'm sorry, what you said was probably funny but I have no idea what it means :P I looked it up in the dictionary and it said:

pamper |ˈpampər|
verb [ trans. ]
indulge with every attention, comfort, and kindness; spoil : famous people just love being pampered.
ORIGIN late Middle English (in the sense [cram with food] ): probably of Low German or Dutch origin; compare with German dialect pampfen ‘cram, gorge’ ; perhaps related to pap 1 .

Triplets.

Thanks Poco :P I presume you mean like a triple stroke roll type triplets rather than just counting in triplets. (Though I'll do that do now it's occurred to me, both will probably be helpful :) )

Pampers = brand of diapers.

I think he means triplets in both the three stroke roll and triple stroke roll.

Jazz drumming is based completely on triplets, and you get the distinct beat by "swinging" them. Also practice keeping time on 2 and 4 instead of the traditional "1, 2, 3, 4" or "1, 3" of rock. And listen to ALOT of jazz. :)

I ordered mine on the 6th it was despatched nce a promptly on the 8th so hopefully it might arrive tomorrow :) The reason it's taking time is probably because I live in England. I was hoping it would arrive on my Birthday (today) however nothing can be done and FDL aren't to blame for that :)

I'm now anticipating it more than ever!

Hands down ...the best pack that I have had the pleasure to get from RRM.

I don't know much about jazz drumming, but I think this will REALLY get you started in the right way. I'm currentlly working on bass drum comping while playing brushes. I believe that after you go through this pack, you will be a very competent and good jazz drummer...and can start building on the essential knowledge aquired from this pack and you will also see your skills in other styles of music become more solid and independent of course :).

From what I have seen, regarding jazz books that try to teach you the essentials of the style, this is by far the best and most thorough option.

Great product ...

Congrats RRM and Mike :)

Bought this and I'm amazed. As I opened the package and just kinda glanced over I was like, god there goes 77 dollars. But then I popped in the first DvD and learned a lot of neat stuff about foot technique and traditional vs matched etc. That first DVD just never seems to end, the exercises were cool and hard to play but not so hard I punch my guitar . Heck I just got started on the bass drum comping part. I know I will definitely get my moneys worth and much more. Thanks Railroad Media for making this.
