This assumes you are on a PC. You can exit the DVD lessons, then go to "My Computer" and right click on the drive with the disk. Use the "Explore" option to view files. Or, before you insert the disk, change your auto-start options so the disk doesn't automatically begin to play. Once the disk is in the computer it will ask you what action you want to take. Again, select "View files using Explorer" (or something like that).

You learned me a new pc fonction.
Btw, the on-screen contents appear on the
second Beginner Dvd...
The first one is just the visual aspect and
slow-motion feature !
I better get back to my rudiments !

I can say that this is a great tool. I was like,
many of you I'm pretty sure, ''I don't have
inspiration for composing beats and even
less for FILLS !''
Now having the opportunity to learn 40
sticking combinations (as well for the feets)
is a new way to approach creation and
to analyse what those drummers are
doing in their videos !
I've been working trough it for 3 days now and
there is a difference. I haven't worked it
on the drum set as much as I'm learning
on my pad watching the System and Mr
Duperron making funny faces (you made me
smile while hitting my pad Lionel ! the comparison
about working a sticking and learning a sonnet is
killer !)
Obviously there is things that annoy me as well,
First the beat played as a loop in the main menu
is so annoying ! I mean you're back from a lesson
and trying to work your way on the pad and the
beat just don't stop unless you press mute on the
remote. And there is the multi angle of the pad lesson
which show you 3 angles, the main one is alright but
the 2 others seems so far from the camera which makes
it harder to see what's going on in the grip.
In the end There is so much inspiration and understanding to
acquire in this tape. Are you ready to break the blinding wall
of ignorance ?

As a new drummer, I can't think of a quicker way to become proficient on the kit and have more fun when jamming!

I just got mine last week. It only cost $5.21 USD for the books to be printed and spiral bound with plastic covers.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. The wife and I were on a little Holiday in NYC. I went to the FedEx Kinko's (now FedEx Office) near home. They have full print services (not just shipping).

It's just about how to practice the rudiments and how to bring them to speed, I mean there could be more details...
Furthermore some explanations are not completely clear as far as I watched them, sometimes Lionel explains something but then acts it out in a different way, it's hard to explain.
Just when I do the stuff explained I'm not quite sure if I'm doing it right and I also don't know "how" to do it, meaning for how long, how often (just once that I know it, or every day?), should I always practice the rudiments, even if I'm already a bit like Thomas Lang?... those are some questions that remain unacknowledged as far as I recognized.
However that's just my first two cents, I mean, I haven't gone all the way through ;D, I'm just trying to give some constructive feedback!
All in all the package seems great to me for just creating a serious practice routine!
Cheers

In the DVD, we're told to work on the sticking first. Okay, cool, I got that (I think). I can get the basic pattern of the rudiment, but I don't understand how I should count while doing the rudiment. I'm getting thrown off, hardcore. Do I even need to know how to count through the rudiment as it's fairly easy to just speed up or slow down the rudiment based on the context?
If I do need to learn how to count through it, and the DS covers it, I've not gotten that far or was day dreaming when it was mentioned. So for an example, the five stroke has 16th note triplets before the and of 1

Blimey! I think it sounds to be a sensible buy for me then, as the biggest problem I have is using rudiments in different contexts - I never know where to start! Thanks a lot for your help :-D
