DON'T GET IT! FOR THE LOVE OF ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, DO NOT GET IT!!! sbr is like the lowest line of cymbals from sabian. You're better off getting B8's. I have SBR hats, and ride, (the older version, from when they were called Solar By Sabian) and they aren't great. . . If you have nothing else to turn to, get it. But, if you can get a more expensive ride like B8 or Xs20, get that instead.

No, Don't waste your money on brass cymbals. You need to wait and get something better.

brass is a metal. So a brass cymbal is a cymbal made of brass. Brass cymbals are usually frowned upon, so if brass is in the list of metal used to make a cymbal, it's probably not gonna sound good.

You want to find a cymbal made out of bronze. Virtually any bronze cymbal will sound better than a brass cymbal. If your budget is low, look for used cymbals.

Meinl HCS is pretty much equivalent to Sabian SBR. Try looking for on Ebay for Sabian B8s Pros or even better Xs20s. It's worth it the long run to spend a little more on cymbals in the beginning, trust me ;)

If you outbid me on the eBay auction for an Xs20 set I am bidding on, I will be very angry. I won one already, but the order got screwed up and I have to win it again... I've already waited too long to replace my SBrs!!!!

Bronze is the one you were supposed to see on 300 as armor. Instead they had CGI generated stuff.

Try waiting TWICE the amoun of time and get this one instead:

I used to have the Meinl HCS 20 inch ride. It was OK to start out on but the sound was not too good. I then upgraded to a Sabian XS20 20 inch ride which was better but the bell was small. My current is cymbal is a Sabian AAX 21 inch Dry Bell Ride. I love this cymbal.

I agree these cymbals can get expensive but you will practice more with better equipment (sounds that you like).
