Greetings everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and quickly introduce myself.
With the recent purchase of the Roland TD-4KX2 e-kit I'm reuniting with an old short-term hobby of mine. About 15 years back I played drums in a "band" (we had two gigs! that counts, right?!? ) for a year and a half or so. We were just a bunch of friends doing easy 4/4 rock/metal covers and having fun. I never bothered learning notes or practicing rudiments or anything, I just went on learning by ear. Good fun, but it didn't really get me far with my skills. This time my aim is to do it right - learn the notes, rudiments, heel-toe technique etc... or at least give it an honest try! Don't want to lose the fun-factor though, so those easy 4/4 rock/metal covers will have to continue to keep me feeling like a rockstar for quite some time still! Hehe.
Here's my cover of a great swedish piece "Inferno"! Boy this is good fun to play!
