Hello All,

I wanted to share my metronome app. Metronome Swipe was created for Drummers who need a good accurate Android metronome. Built from the ground up from the prospective of a Drummer. I incorporated useful features like; tempo playlist, swipe gestures, configure beats per measure, hand developed click tones, plus more.

You can download Metronome Swipe from the Android Market

Metronome Swipe Pro
https://market.andro...tronometouchpro

Metronome Swipe Free
https://market.andro...ronometouchfree

If you can please help me out and post any problems, questions, or new feature requests to this thread. I would appreciate it!

Johnny

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to drop a line to let you know I added a Beat Per Minute Counter. Simply two finger tap to find the beats per minute.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Johnny

* trades his drummer hat for his software developer hat *

I have nothing against free vs. pro features in general, but I think this app misses the boat by making beats per measure a pro feature. That's the kind of basic functionality that made me uninstall rather than be tempted to buy the pro version.

That out of the way, I really like the overall design of your app. The main interface is very clean looking and intuitive. Dedicating most of the screen to a visual counter was a great move, IMO.

The only thing that bugged me about the interface was that swiping to change the BPM only moves it in 1 BPM increments per full swipe. It should either be configurable or should move more than one position per swipe, in proportional to how far you swipe (like scrolling a web page).

First I want to thank you for the reply. I appreciate the feedback a ton! That being said; on the BPM feature only in pro. While I can totally understand where you are coming from, price is the main reason I made the free version a straight metronome. That is also why I priced my app at what I consider a very small fee for the features you get.

Next, I love the swipe feedback and added it to the To-Do List. Thank you! :D

If I didn't already use a free metronome app with that feature I probably would've reacted differently, FWIW. Taken in isolation, I would agree with you unequivocally, but it's worth keeping your competition in mind. :)

Glad to help :)

One thing I would find really handy would be some kind of arrangement system. Even something as simple as a list of "X bars of Y beats at Z BPM". I'd buy that in a second! (At first I thought this was what the playlist feature was, FWIW)

PS: Changed my mind and bought a copy B)

Thanks for the support and feedback. Make sure to grab the latest update from Market. I added a few new features. :-)
