Yeah, it pretty much is. USB 2.0 has been the standard since the early 2000s to about a year or two ago when USB 3.0 came out. A computer that is 10 years old is freaking old and even if you have USB 3.0 on your computer it will work with a 2.0 compliant device. To tell you the truth I think the thing will work with 1.0 slots as they are the same size and the data transfer for the most part works the same. The only difference is the data rate will go down if you are using a 1.0 slot. I also can't really think of any computer that doesn't have a USB slot on it.

In theory YES and MOST usb devices work just fine. Sadly there are many exceptions that I've seen during my work time to that rule. That's why I said it is NOT. Anyways, back to topic.

Poco I think maybe you should mix this with the Covers thread by realscotch.
