Are you putting them on youtube?
You can't put any length video on this site - only link to a streaming service (like youtube, photobucket, or ???).
Send me a link if you like and I'll see if I can get you going.

Guys,

I can testify for scotch. His smallest video is 14 min long. I do know that youtube has "director" type accounts that allow that.

Just a tease,
He's at least as fast as Carl Palmer but knows how to pause, and he can play both grips.

Thanks for saying that, I appreciate it. That's good company you put me with.

Why not upload 10 minutes of a few of them?
Surely there are plenty song covers scotch can cover that are less than 10 minutes.

I don't do any covers, they are just solos. Just banging away.

Why not?
I'd rather see your interpretation of any song rather than free-form banging. IMO, drums are meant to be part of music - they need context. Drum solos (even the best) should to be used sparingly. Again, just my opinion.
Shoot, I was looking forward to something new. :( Come on. Pleezzze??? :P

I have to get the "whatever I need" to do covers. I've been looking at a Zoom Q3hd. I read that you can use that gizmo to make covers.

Then comes the actual music. How and where do you get it? Then how do you sync them up. This is all the stuff I have to figure out.

I have a Buddy Rich DVD that has a part where the drums are muted out. I'd like to do West Side Story and a couple of others.

Joe, can I ask you how you saw a video of mine?

I was able to get a portion of realscotch's video embedded. Enjoy.

Hey Scotch, if you need any help with video editing or anything I can give some basic help. I'm better with audio, but it's related.

Thanks abacacus, I appreciate it.

Has anybody had experience with a Zoom 3hd something or other recorder.

Is it the Zoom Q3HD? I haven't used it, but any digital camcorder using a standard video recording codec will work. I'm skeptical the stereo sound will be of much use, but the Q3HD should let you record your drum playing. From the little I've read about the camera, it is supposed to do a good job with audio but less so on the video quality.

When I did my singing showcases, showcasedujour.com I was recorded on a camera like that. We were singing on an abbey that was originally set up with a pipe organ so the acoustics were incredible. The camera it's exactly as Poco Describes it. If you do your take from a medium distance the video should be fine.

the zoom h2 is perfect for recording drums and small ensembles. by far the best thing on the market at the price ($99 or less) and totally outperforms their higher end options. a total workhorse

i can provide examples if anyone's interested
