Do any of you play lots of live shows? What do you suggest a drummer should take along in a sort of first aid kit? All the skins? A spare snare?

As many drumsticks as you can carry to get the obvious out of the way. Probably at least one backup for every batter drum head, just so its there whether you actually need it or not. Can't really think of anything else

I always had back-up heads, sticks, snare drum, hi-hat and pedal in the truck. The just in case stuff.
We also carried a spare guitar player in case we had to shoot the one we had.

I'd say Scotch hit it on the head. The only change I'd make would be a spare cymbal stand and a few spare drum keys.

I forgot the keys. Always had a few in the guitar player and bass player's cases, plus I made sure there were a couple on my floor toms before a gig.

Tis a good idea. Never know when something will come loose, or a drum key will break (it's happened to me twice).

LOL. I love how people say that they keep their drums at home and nothing ever goes wrong, but when they play drums at a gig, all heck breaks loose, and things break, loosen, and chip like it's no one's business.

Heads, felts, wingnuts (or whatever you use to secure your cymbals), snare, and I have a drumkey on me at all times during life.

I have two drum keys attached to my keys that I carry with me everywhere so no worries for me there.

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking a spare snare (even a cheap one) could come in handy (faster to swap) and some replies confirm.
Lots of sticks:check, spare keys:check. Cymbal screws sound like a good idea and being small OK. So everyone feels confident about the bass pedal, good!
