Also, isn't the biggest B8 Pro splash only 12"?
For a sloshy sound, try tilting the bottom hat a little more and use less pedal pressure.

@Poco Askew: they make a B8 pro 13" for 65$ at Amazon
http://www.amazon.co...18130752&sr=1-9
@Dan62: ya iv'e seen the crashes used as hi hats before with Thomas Pridgeon, lol i know I can't afford those, at least any that would sound good! I will make a trip to my guitar center to browse and experiment eventually
@ pearlvx96: I did put the top on the bottom and it didn't really make a difference, I need something heavier than an AA medium to put on the bottom...

how about the 13" crash? it's still gonna be thin, but since it's a crash it'll be heavier than a splash.

Oh lol thanks bud didn't notice that exists, I'm pretty sure if i put a heavy cymbal on the bottom it'll make a nicer thicker tone, that's what I'm after at least

How does one go about tilting the bottom hat?
Sorry for crashing the thread but i'm interested to know how this is achieved!

Your hi hat stand should have a screw under the bottom cymbal. It is used to tilt the cup the lower hat sits on.
You don't want the to cymbals to be parallel when they close. They trap air as they come together which mutes their sound and you don't get the variety of sounds possible with subtle pedal closure and pressure when the bottom hat is tilted a little.
