No screaming in the house.
Please take your caps lock off.

You got a broken caps lock button there, buddy? Cuz if you do, u might wanna look for a new keyboard. If you're typing in all caps for 'projection' or whatever, be aware the internet isn't the place for that because jerks (anywhere, not just on this forum) will think you're yelling (it's worse if they think the yelling isn't general, or, in other words, directed at them.

On an ON-topic note, It's really hard to find drum theory stuff, unless it's in video format. lol. I found this website called drumsdatabase.com. It's video lessons, but it mentions downloadable pdf pages, so it might be a winner, if that's what you're looking for.

Drum theory is very miniscule - learn to read theory and practice the ability to play what you read. You can get that from various lessons around drumlessons.com or freedrumlessons.com - there isn't a lot of theory beyond that (no scales to learn unless you count rudiments).

Maybe I'm a "jerk" (as a moderator, it comes with the territory sometimes), but I find typing in all caps to be lazy at best and rude at worst. Not only is it no fun to read, but it IS the generally accepted interwebz method of expressing excitement or of being loud, aggressive, pushy, yelling, etc. This is especially true when every sentence is followed with !!! or ???? I think there are plenty of non-jerks that don't appreciate ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME.

I'm used to all caps - my mother works for a bank where all data she enters has to be in caps and she emails me w/o killing the caps. Not to mention, I do like to fight the system sometimes and ignore certain protocols.

All our data at work is also entered in CAPS, but I don't use it for general/personal/business correspondence. If you submitted a resume written in all caps, do you think it would go to the top of the pile for consideration? No harm in putting your best foot forward, here or anywhere else in life. But the simple reality is (for me) I hate reading it and it does signify yelling.

lol i was really trying my best to make it sound like I wasn't directing that message at you, or anyone else for that matter. Not to say that there aren't guys that take the all caps thing too far, offensively. But, I wasn't directing that message to you or anyone else other than him, in a friendly advice way. lol

I didn't take it personally. I'm probably more down on all caps usage than most people. My only point was, I don't agree with the term "jerk" being applied to anyone who doesn't want to read all caps. I do appreciate you giving the OP a nudge in the right direction. :)

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW IF YOUR CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS BROKEN. IF IT IS, WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO MAIL YOU A NEW KEYBOARD? I HAVE PLENTY OF EXTRAS THAT I WOULD TRADE FOR THE SAKE OF NOT HAVING TO READ YOUR POSTS LIKE THIS.

Im generally not one of those "Jerks" but, Could we all just agree. Multi-colored, can sometimes (not always) be a mirror into ones soul (no offense) and CAPS is okay sometimes, yes if you are trying to prove a point, but not if you are simply asking a question…. :)
