I fairly recently replaced the dampener in my snare with the head but about an hour ago the nut on the dampener inside popped out because i guess i didnt put it on all the way. Can i take my snare head off and put it back on or is that going to mess up the head?

You can take it off and put it back - no problem.
. You'll never know if you like it until you pull down your pants and take a slide on the ice.

You can spend less than $50 and up over $200 per stand. These are usually what I recommend. I've used them for years (not gigging) and they work fine for $40 each or less in a pair.

+1 to what poco recommended. I bought that exact deal at GC maybe 2 and half years ago. Great stands for the money. They just recently broke on me. The wingnut that controls the main height adjustment basically got stuck and now I adjust my stands height by the boom. Its a minor inconvience, but regardless im going to upgrade soon.(I play lots of shows)

I would say for your situation, those stands are perfect you.

you might want to just take that dampener off. The nut didn't come off because you didn't tighten it enough, but because of a flaw in the design of internal mufflers. They just loosen constantly and unless you check them constantly, they will come undone. Just use external muffling if you need it.
